The World Bank has just brought out a new guide for integrating nutrition objectives into investments in agriculture, social protection and health. While I've not read the report yet, the underlying concept is a crucial one for agriculture (as with the other sectors). In the future, investments clearly need to focus not just on increasing production in a sustainable way, but on producing crops in such a way that enables local smallholder households to improve the quality of their nutrient intake.
